Why I Paint

Creativity has been a constant thread in my life. One of my earliest memories is with crayon in hand. And for decades, I have designed digital experiences - apps and websites used by millions of people. No matter how busy I was, I always returned to painting as a place of stillness, reflection, and connectedness.

Then came cancer. Surgeries. Chemotherapy. Everything changed. I was no longer the provider or the protector. I became the one being cared for. In that new reality - confronting mortality and embracing vulnerability - I discovered a profound sense of gratitude. Even at my sickest, my appreciation for life grew stronger. I was thankful for my family, friends, nurses, doctors. Thankful for the simplest things. Thankful for every opportunity.

PainterMade was born from this. Facing death and enduring treatment clarified my purpose: to deepen human connections and amplify expressions of gratitude. This is why I paint.
